One of my favorite things to do is to image reasearch. So when Katie Kay Mead asked Culture Theory for a consultation meeting on her new lifestyle brand, The Modern Territory, I was more than pleased to meet her aquaintence. Well, Katie is hardly an acquaintence I would say. We have known each other for over a decade and the constant evolution and the re-invention of this woman never ceases to amaze me. I have known her from the circus days, to tribal bellydancing, to social scenester, fashion start-up designer/owner,consultant, wife and now mother; one could say, "no rest for the wicked". Her newest endevour is property management. Her first purchase being a co-founder of a mid-century modern vacation rental home in the heart of Palm Springs. This place has the perfect balance of modern yet classic. She hand picks and custom fabricates her choices with great detail to eye. Her background in fashion has given her the discernment of what makes this pad the perfect party pad for grown-ups.
